Terms of Service
Last updated October 21, 2026
SnowBlo is a place to post snow removal work and to find it. We are not a snow removal company. These terms explain what that means for you, whether you're posting a job or claiming one.
1. Who we are, and what we are not
SnowBlo is operated by Snowblo LLC, a California limited liability company. We run a website where people post snow removal jobs and independent snow removal businesses choose which of those jobs to take.
We are not a snow removal provider. We do not clear snow. We do not employ, supervise, direct, schedule, train, or dispatch anyone who clears snow. We do not set the price of any job, we do not assign any job to anyone, and we do not guarantee that any job will be claimed or that any work will be performed.
Every business listed on SnowBlo is an independent business that decides for itself which work to accept, what equipment to use, and how to perform the work it accepts.
2. Your account
You need an account to post a job or claim one. You can create one with Google or by using a sign-in link sent to your email address. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. Provide accurate information, and keep it current — a wrong address or phone number mostly hurts you.
3. If you post a job
- You decide what the job is and what you will pay for it. SnowBlo never sets or suggests a price on your behalf.
- Posting is free. You pay the business that clears your property, directly, at the price you posted.
- Your street address and phone number stay hidden until a business claims your job. At that point they are shared with that business so they can reach you and find the property.
- Nothing happens until a business chooses your job. If nobody claims it, nothing is owed by anyone.
- You can take your job off the board at any time before a business claims it. It costs nothing and nobody is charged.
- Once a business has claimed your job, you cannot cancel it through SnowBlo.
- When a business claims your job, you are contracting with that business — not with SnowBlo.
- You are responsible for describing the work accurately, including hazards, access problems, and anything else that affects how long it takes.
Changing your mind after a claim. A business that claims your job has paid a fee to do so and may already be on its way. From that moment the arrangement is between you and them, so cancelling is something you settle with them directly, using the name and phone number the claim gave you. SnowBlo does not cancel a claimed job, reverse a claim, or recover any payment on your behalf, and the fee the business paid is not refunded because you changed your mind.
Before work begins, you should satisfy yourself that the business is a good fit — talk to them, check their reviews, and ask about insurance. We verify what businesses tell us where we reasonably can, but we do not inspect anyone’s work and we do not vouch for it.
4. If you claim work
To claim work you must be operating a business: as a sole proprietor, or through a partnership, LLC, LLP, or corporation. You confirm that:
- You are free to accept or decline any job, and SnowBlo does not direct how you do the work.
- You deliver services under your own name, not SnowBlo's.
- You use your own equipment and supplies.
- You hold any business license or tax registration required where you work, and you will tell us if that changes.
- You carry any insurance you have told us about, and the information you gave us is accurate.
- You are customarily engaged in this kind of work independently of SnowBlo.
Some work requires current general liability insurance on file — roof and eave clearing, commercial lots, and any job posted above $300. We will tell you when a job requires it.
5. Access fees
Posting a job is free. Businesses pay SnowBlo an access fee when they claim a job. The fee is a flat amount based on the posted value of the job, shown before you claim. It is a charge for access to the listing — it is never a percentage or share of what you earn, and we take nothing out of what your customer pays you.
If you claim a job and cannot do it, you can release it. Released within 30 minutes of claiming, the access fee is refunded in full. After 30 minutes it is not, because the job has lost time that the customer cannot get back.
Authorisation to charge your card. To claim work you keep a payment card on file. By adding one, you authorise SnowBlo to charge it for the access fees you incur, without asking you again each time. Charges are made in weekly batches, and each batch is the total of the flat access fees for the jobs you claimed in that period and have not already paid for. Every fee is shown on the job before you claim it, so the amount is never a surprise. If a job is released within 30 minutes, its fee is not charged. Nothing is charged for browsing, for registering, or in any week you claim nothing.
If a charge is declined, the fees stay outstanding and we will try again with the next weekly run. You can remove your card at any time from your payment page — doing so stops you claiming new work and does not cancel anything already owed.
We may change our fees, and we will give notice before changes take effect. Rates described as introductory, opening or seasonal are temporary and we will say when they end.
6. Text messages
If you give us a phone number, you agree to receive text messages from SnowBlo about jobs you post or claim, and alerts about forecast snow in your area. Message frequency varies with the weather. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using SnowBlo.
7. What we don't promise
SnowBlo is provided as is. We do not promise that any job will be claimed, that any work will be done, that it will be done well, or that anyone will show up. We are not responsible for the quality, timing, safety, or legality of work arranged through the site, because we do not perform it and do not control who does.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Disputes between users
If something goes wrong with a job — work not done, done badly, damage to property, payment not made — that is between the customer and the business, and you should take it up with them directly.
Tell us as well. We cannot resolve your dispute or compel anyone to pay or redo work, but we can and do remove businesses that generate repeated complaints, and we remove customers who do not pay.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snowblo LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising out of your use of SnowBlo.
Our total liability for any claim relating to SnowBlo will not exceed the greater of (a) the total access fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred dollars.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using SnowBlo at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misrepresents a business, generates repeated complaints, or does not pay fees owed.
11. Changes, and the law that applies
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so before it takes effect. Continuing to use SnowBlo after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
